One-Woman Baby Band!

Yesterday, Cally was sitting on the floor playing with her toys. She eventually decided to relax a little more on the boppy pillow. She kept hitting the piano keys with her foot! I grabbed the camera and caught a one-woman baby band! We've got piano, vocals, and percussion! LOL

Success with Sippy Cup!

Mike and I have been letting Cally play with the sippy cup the past couple of weeks. We were hanging out while I was making dinner on Sunday, and she was playing with the cup. All of a sudden, I heard her slurping water and swallowing. I thought you had to hold the cup up high, but then I tried it out and realized you don't and that she got it! She cracks me up!!!

Fun trip to Atlantic City!!!

Mom, Kelli, Ashley, Stacy, Cally, and I went to Atlantic City yesterday. We started the day off at the beach. It was nice and hot outside, and the water was the perfect temperature. Cally enjoyed the water and played inside and outside of... the Princess Palace. We got to play one competitive game of bocce ball. After the beach, we ate dinner at our favorite Mexican Restaurant. Cally surprisingly fell asleep during girls' day out on the way to the restaurant. She woke up half way through dinner and happily rejoined us. After a quick trip to Banana Republic, Kelli, Ashley, Stacy, and I played the slots while Mom walked Cally on the boardwalk. I was the only one with a little bit of luck and won $200! When we met up with Mom afterwards, we expected to see Cally passed out. But no! She was awake and loving the nightlife!!! We had a great day!

Phillies vs Pirates

Kristin spent the night in Philly with Sal and I and then competed in the fourth annual Philadelphia Women's Duathalon this morning. After she finished a great race, we met my mom, dad and Miss Cally down at the ballpark to watch the Phillies beat the Pirates 5-2. We witnessed the Phillies hit a grandslam in the first inning...(amazingly it was the second one I witnessed in the past week!!)

We too had a fun filled 4th of July. Dave's brother has a house up in the Belgrade Lakes, so we went up there for the weekend. The entire Malmquist clan was present. It was the first time Harper had met most of her cousins. Fortunately the rain has finally stopped here, which allowed us the chance to swim, water ski and enjoy some outside time.

Catching some rays!

Kelli came over our house, and we all went to our community pool. Cally was due for a nap but had a second wind... especially when those shades were put on! Picture to left was when we got back... she just lied there, "Oh, man! I'm so tired!"

Happy Birthday Kelli and Mike!

Sunday, June 28th - day before Kelli and Mike's 31st b-day. Here's some live action of the birthday duo - accidentally had the camera on video mode. It was such a busy day with work and driving around with our entire family in the car (minus Mike) that I couldn't pick up a cake. Kelli was coming over for dinner and had brought a small cake while Mike had bought tandy cakes and mini donuts. So... I made a dessert sampler and topped it off with a lit candle (no birthday candles... so I used Hannukah candles that I forgot to pack away). It worked!
