My work sponsored a team for the mud run held in Philadelphia. It is a run that they hold in several cities across the nation. It supports an organization which sends care packages over to the troops overseas. You can either choose to run the 5k or 10k. Along with running and getting dirty, there are military style obstacles for you to complete. Since no one else on our team was running the 5k, I fell under the peer pressure and signed up for the 10k as well. Unfortunately, I did not get as much conditioning in as I wanted to or should have, but all in all, I made it through pretty well. I can give some more details in person, but the only rough time I had was in the middle of the race when I could have really used a bathroom, instead I just walked for a little bit and eventually was able to get back running. I was proud of myself for finishing strong, this was by far the farthest I have ever ran. The last obstacle of the race is a huge mud pit...
