Philadelphia Mud Run

My work sponsored a team for the mud run held in Philadelphia. It is a run that they hold in several cities across the nation. It supports an organization which sends care packages over to the troops overseas. You can either choose to run the 5k or 10k. Along with running and getting dirty, there are military style obstacles for you to complete. Since no one else on our team was running the 5k, I fell under the peer pressure and signed up for the 10k as well. Unfortunately, I did not get as much conditioning in as I wanted to or should have, but all in all, I made it through pretty well. I can give some more details in person, but the only rough time I had was in the middle of the race when I could have really used a bathroom, instead I just walked for a little bit and eventually was able to get back running. I was proud of myself for finishing strong, this was by far the farthest I have ever ran. The last obstacle of the race is a huge mud pit...

playing with the big boys

You sure this gun will be big enough??

uncles, the next generation...

Love your uncle, even if he's crazy...(hehe) Because when you need him, he'll treat you like a queen!!

Mark, Nikkia (Stacy's sister) and Darren with their daughter Mihala.

Best buds...

He tried to keep Henry inside so he wouldn't suffer in the heat, but even a 94 degree day can't seperate a man and his dog!

Sing-a-long fun...

Going through my videos, I forgot about this one from our trip to Maine a couple of weeks ago. Can you guess who this is????

Happy Fourth of July

Keeping it low key this year...Shauna and her crew and Ashley came over to help to celebrate. I made sure some key items were available...clams and fireworks. Well, if you want to call them fireworks!

Us, with the daring sparklers!

Setting off the crazy eyeballs!

Part II...setting off some lightning firework. Pretty sure Ashley had to quickly leave the show after this one.

There is a finale video, but I am having trouble uploading it. Will try again tomorrow.

The only thing missing from this show was Uncle Pete's music!!

Happy Fourth!
