Pumpkins

I haven't posted in a while.
The leaves are really blowing around now. And we're supposed to get a soaking rain tonight. Fall is here. Dave was in the hospital last week, recovering from a major asthma attack. Poor guy. Was instructed by his Dr. to take the week off from work to recover. He's now on the mend. Harper and I have been doing lots of fun things. Today we went to the pond and checked out the ducks and then down to Cap'n Simeons/Pepperrell Cove to see "da bows" bobbing in the fog. Maia, Dad and I are training for a 1/2 marathon in November. Lots of running and training going on. Oh! Also, we're going to see the show Wicked on Sunday. Anyone seen it? I've heard it's quite entertaining. Really looking forward to it. Still searching for the perfect house. There's one in Kittery that we really like. Within walking distance to downtown Portsmouth and more than 1 bathroom! Woo hoo!!! Here are a few recent pictures from Labor Day weekend up at camp. Hope all is well with everyone. Trying to peg a weekend in Novemeber that we can come down for a visit. I CAN'T wait to hold that sweet baby. Love, love, love. xxxooo

Saved by the Corn Maze Entrance

So my friend, Beth Ann, and her daughter, Cora, took on the cornfield maze with us. When we were more than halfway through the challenge, we saw the path that would lead us to the entrance out of the maze craze!!! I looked at Beth Ann, and without a word, we were thinking the same thing!!! "Let's bail!!!" Cally was getting tired; it was affecting her coordination after she was tripping and belling flopping onto the dirt more and more. Cora kept stopping to play in the dirt, rocks, and before that point, rabbit poop! So while everyone else finished the maze, the girls played in the open field where they had a chicken, a calf, a sliding board, and tunnels out of stacked hay stacks. The little ones did well for the time that they were in the maze, and we applaud everyone else who stuck it out to finish the map!

Maze Craze....

A few of us decided to try the new corn maze right around the corner from my parents house. You had to find pieces throughout the maze to complete your map. It took us (those of us who completed it) an hour and forty minutes.....

In the beginning, when we still thought this was cute..
.
Cally helped to complete the map when we found pieces...

One of the last couple of pieces...we could see, but just could not get to!!!!

Finally, just as we (Stacy, Ash, me, Navi and mom) were starting to turn on each other, mom was determined and went and found the last piece on her own.... Thank goodness, we were done!!!!!

a little bit of history...

Mom has spent her free time being Mrs. Frank in the play "The Diary of Anne Frank", put on by the local theater group, Pennsylvania Theater of Performing Arts. My boss is actually Mr. Frank, her husband (standing with his hand on her shoulder)! The show opened Friday morning with a performance for the local high school students, and this weekend and next (Fri: 7:00, Sat: 7:00, and Sun: 3:00). Dad, Mark, and I are going Friday at 7:00 if anyone wants to join...

Here's a picture of some of the cast (Anne is standing):

Welcome Maya Brin!

Maya was born 9/9/10 at 5:01 a.m.; 21 inches long; 8 lb 1 oz. Kelli was there with Mike and me for the birth. Maya's been a good baby so far - very sweet, cuddly, and going with the flow. Cally has been calling Maya "little sister" and calling her by name. We are very happy that she is in our lives!

Chadds Ford Winery Jazz Fest

Shauna, Cally, Ash and I went to the Chadd Ford Winery Jazz Fest today. Admission included a taste tasting. So while Ashley and I sampled the wines, Shauna (aka Designated Driver) held our spot on the lawn while the bands played. They had some rows of grapes hanging out on the lawn...Cally loved playing around them although she referred to them as the apple trees...
